COVID-19 Information

The Covid-19 Pandemic has affected our social norms and behaviour. Your safety at Chalet Cannelle is very important to us and we will undertake a number of precautions during your stay to protect you, other guests and us.

Chalet Cannelle is a spacious chalet for few guests. As well as your room, there is a lounge and TV room as well as a large garden with different seating areas. The space here provides an opportunity for you to enjoy a serviced holiday - with breakfast and house keeping, without the likelihood of encountering large numbers of people.

There are 3 of us working here, ensuring that all our measures are completed. You will also have the option for your room not to be serviced during your stay if that is preferred.

Below, you will find the precautions that we are taking during this time:

Observing any government guidelines given to us, which may change over the summer.

Before your arrival we will ask if you or any of the party have any symptoms. Unfortunately if you have symptoms, you will not be able to stay at Chalet Cannelle.

Respecting the social distancing guidelines of 1m.

No hand shaking, hugging or 'bissous'' on arrival or departure but you will be greeted with a warm welcome!

Hand sanitiser is available for guest use and we will ask you to use it when entering the chalet.

Face masks are not obligatory in the chalet but they are in some shops and restaurants. We suggest you bring some with you.

The communal bathroom will be closed to guests - we ask that you use the ensuite facilities in your bedroom.

On request and where available, we can leave your room vacant for 24 hours before your arrival to ensure complete ventilation. Our cleaning practice is already very thorough and includes :

  • All linen washed at 60 degrees and ironed at 180 degrees.
  • Mattress and pillow protectors changed between bookings.
  • Cleaning with disinfectant of the bathroom and all hard surfaces within the bedroom.
  • Cleaning cloths are not shared between bedrooms.
  • Hand soap is provided

The communal areas will be cleaned twice a day with disinfectant. The tea and coffee facilities will be available in the lounge and we provide disinfectant for you to use before and after it's use.

There will be no shared guest information available during your stay. We will continue to help you organise your day in the mountains and can provide photocopies of information needed.

Any objects that must be used by all clients eg keys, door handles, light switches will be cleaned with disinfectant.

Breakfast is served in the dining room without self-service. Breakfast times will be staggered and you may be given a set time.

The kitchen will be strictly closed to guests. There is a fridge and microwave for guests to use on the mezzanine.

We politely ask that our guests:

    Respect social distancing measures.

Use the hand sanitiser provided in the hallway as you enter the chalet.

Notify us immediately if showing any symptoms of the Coronavirus and remain isolated in your room until further instructions
